The “ALS Ice Bucket Challenge” involves dumping ice cold water over your head and then challenging three other people to do the same within 24 hours. What if you don’t want to accept the ice bucket challenge after being called out to do it?.. That’s easy, simply Donate $100 to the ALS Association which fights Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The ALS Association has welcomed more than 70,000 new donors to the cause since July 31 because of the help of the the ice bucket challenge, and they have also collected over $4 Million dollars on donations in just two weeks. Last year during that same time period, (July 29-August 12), the association brought in $1.1 million.
Everyone is doing the “ALS Ice Bucket Challenge” for the simple fact that is fun. It gets engagement and it’s for a great cause. I mean people like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, George Lopez, Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon, Martha Steward, Conan, Triple H, Tim Cook, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Satya Nadella, Jeff Bezos, Phil Schiller, Ralph de la Vega, John Legere, Dick Costolo, The Rock, Lance Bass, Matt Lauer, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Carson Daly, Ethel Kennedy, Chris Christie, Aaron Rogers, Triple H, Daymond John and many many more have done it as well.
